In the inaugural year of the Legal Food Frenzy, WHT raised the equivalent of 2,657.5 pounds of food to be donated to food banks across the state.
This year the Kentucky Bar Association and the Kentucky Association of Food Banks (KAFB) joined forces to host the 1st Legal Food Frenzy, a fundraiser/competition created to support the regional food banks in Kentucky. The “competition” consisted of nearly 100 Kentucky law firms, law schools, and legal organizations.
WHT’s contribution was a combination of food donations, cash donations and volunteer hours at God’s Pantry which was all converted to equal 2,657.5 pounds of food.
There are 700,000 Kentuckians who struggle with hunger every day. Of the 700,000 Kentuckians, 200,000 of them are children. The KAFB helps feel 1 in 7 Kentuckians annually and distributed 58 million meals across the state last year. To learn more about the KAFB, please visit their website.
