Ward, Hocker & Thornton Member, Gene Zipperle, has been awarded the 2019 Distinguished Service Award by the Transportation Lawyers Association (TLA). Awarded at the TLA annual conference, this honor is presented in recognition of distinguished and outstanding service to the organization in appreciation of the hours of unselfish dedication and many contributions to the betterment of the association.
Gene has been a member of TLA since 2010 and has been extremely active, frequently speaking at TLA conferences and contributing as an author for the organization’s publication, The Transportation Lawyer. He has served on several committees including the Freight Claims, Casualty and Membership Committees. He has been a Representative-at-Large on the TLA Executive Committee and most recently, chaired the Transportation Law Institute program held in Louisville, KY.
The Transportation Lawyers Association is an independent bar association, comprised of in-house, government and private practice attorneys.
