WHT attorneys, Gregg Thornton and Megan Lyons, obtained a defense verdict in favor of Lexington Center Corporation in a trip and 
fall claim in Fayette County. The plaintiff tripped and fell on a cable cover while at Rupp Arena during a UK basketball game. He sustained knee injuries requiring surgical intervention and incurred medical expenses of $62,000. Plaintiff alleged the cable cover was a trip hazard in the location it was placed and amounted to an unreasonably dangerous condition. Plaintiff was represented at trial by Charles Adams of Herren & Adams. The jury returned a verdict finding that Lexington Center did not violate its standard of care and was not liable for the plaintiff’s injuries.
