WHT is proud to recognize Ashley Brown for being named Defense Trial Lawyer of the Year by The Kentucky Trial Court Review. In bestowing this honor, the Review wrote, “Brown has established herself as a feared, competent and prodigious lawyer in defending civil cases.” Ashley is recognized for her unmatched jury trial record over the past several years in Kentucky, securing full defense verdicts, and, as the Review noted, skillfully keeping verdicts within the channel of reasonableness. When handling tough jury trials, according to the Review, “Brown got it done.”
Ashley is a partner in our Lexington and Indianapolis offices, where she manages a trial team representing carriers, self-insured clients, and businesses. She serves as national trial counsel for insurers and has been retained by other attorneys to serve as trial counsel. In 2023, Brown was recognized as Kentucky’s Most Prolific Trial Lawyer, and in 2017, she was honored as Kentucky Defense Counsel’s Defense Lawyer of the Year. She completed a three-year term as Kentucky Representative for DRI last year, and currently serves on the Kentucky Defense Counsel Board of Directors. Brown credits the team at WHT for her success, saying “Recognition of this nature reflects on the incredible partners, associates and support team at our firm. I know we have the best of the best.”
