Ward, Hocker & Thornton had the unique opportunity to sponsor the Dress for your Future Fashion Show at the 2018 Junior Achievement Miss Business event held on February 22 in Lexington. The JA Miss Business educational workshop is designed to help young women develop a successful business and professional career through professional development activities, networking and workshop sessions led by some Lexington’s most successful women. The workshop is free of charge for accepted participants.

WHT sponsored a fashion show with workplace wardrobe ideas coordinated by Bella Rose Boutique. WHT attorney Jillian House gave the opening remarks before the show.

“As a young female attorney, I have found that everything I do makes some kind of statement, including what I choose to wear every day. It is important to feel confident from the inside and let your wardrobe reflect that confidence by wearing what you feel comfortable in,” Jillian advised. She continued, “Clothes are just one way that help you make a good first impression and we hope, through this fashion show, you are inspired to create your own looks for the workplace that will showcase your inner beauty.”

After opening remarks, the seventy attendees were shown different professional outfit options and given advice on how to style themselves for job, scholarship and college admissions interviews.
