Ward, Hocker & Thornton, PLLC is pleased to announce that attorneys Jillian Dove House and Whitney Mobley Kunjoo have been elected to become Members within the firm. The announcement was made at this year’s WHT Christmas Party on December 14, 2019.
Jillian House has been with the Firm since 2012. She works in civil litigation defense representing the insureds of major insurance providers and large and small self-insured companies. Jillian has a proven trial record at the state court level. She was named the Kentucky Defense Counsel Young Lawyer of the Year in 2015, was a member of the Leadership Lexington Class of 2016, and has been named a “Kentucky Rising Star” by Super Lawyers for the past three years.
Whitney Kunjoo joined the Firm in 2016. Her practice focuses primarily on workers’ compensation defense, subrogation and state black lung. She has successfully handled the defense of claims at all levels, including the appellate level with claims brought before the Workers’ Compensation Board, Court of Appeals and Supreme Court. Whitney has been named a “Kentucky Rising Star” by Super Lawyers for the last three consecutive years.
