Ward, Hocker & Thornton attorney Maxwell D. Smith has been named to the Leadership Lexington Class of 2020-2021. Max is one of twenty-five class members selected to participate in the program that is designed to cultivate Lexington leaders by providing educational opportunities that broaden perspectives and allow participants to gain increased understanding of community dynamics and public issues.
Beginning in August and running through June 2021, the class will meet in different locations around Kentucky each month with a major program topic covered by knowledgeable speakers and panels, tours, group activities, demonstrations, and class discussions. Sessions will cover topics, such as media, government, education, public safety, economic development, arts, equine, diversity, health and human services, and leadership development.
Max has been an attorney with WHT since 2016. His primary area of practice is insurance defense and coverage. He was named a “Kentucky Rising Star” by Super Lawyers®, 2019-2020.
