For the second year in a row, Ward, Hocker & Thornton had the unique opportunity to sponsor the Dress for Your Future Fashion Show at the 2019 Junior Achievement Miss Business event held on March 20 in Lexington. The JA Miss Business educational workshop is designed to help young women develop a successful business and professional career through professional development activities, networking and workshop sessions led by some of Lexington’s most successful women. The workshop is free of charge for accepted participants.

The fashion show was hosted by Mya Price, a Lexington native. Ms. Price started her business, More Than Your Average, in October of 2017. She recognizes through the way we dress, we can impact others and our environment. WHT Member, Ashley Brown, gave the opening remarks before the fashion show telling the young women in the audience that it is important to always be yourself and not give up on your career goals and dreams.

After opening remarks, the seventy attendees were shown different professional outfit options and given advice on how to style themselves for job, scholarship and college admissions interviews.
